PROBLEM
When putting a lot of power through the
pedals, it is difficult to shift up from the
smaller to larger chainring.
Noise caused by the chain rubbing on
the outer cage plate when the front de-
railleur is in position D (Fig. 6).
With the front derailleur in position A,
the front derailleur cage does not move
when pushing the outer lever to posi-
tion B.
IMPORTANT: If the problem persists, consult a mechanic specialised in assembling
Campagnolo groupsets.

SOLUTION
These problems can all occur because
the cable tension has reduced. So:
put the rear derailleur on the largest
sprocket and the front derailleur in posi-
tion D (Fig. 6), increase the tension on
the cable by turning the cable tension
adjuster until the chain is 1 mm from the
edge of the inner cage plate.
