TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Air-supply not fully open or
pressure at wrong setting.
Second-stage inlet filter may
be plugged.
Second stage regulator may
require adjustments.
Swivel O-rings leaking.
Swivel not fully engaged.
Facepiece connection leaking.
Manifold port(s) not plugged.

REMEDY
Be sure air source valve
is fully open and that inlet
pressure is between 60-100 psi.
Remove the regulator from service and
replace the inlet filter. See repair
instructions.
Return to MSA trained repair
technician.
Disconnect the regulator hose assembly.
Inspect and replace the O-rings. See repair
instructions.
Return to MSA trained repair
technician.
If using Ultra Elite or Ultravue Facepieces,
remove the regulator and inspect or
replace seal ring and spider gasket within
the Quick-Connect Adapter. See repair
instructions of inhalation check valve and
spider gaskets.
If using the Advantage 4000 Respirator,
inspect the gray silicone valve for
perforations, cuts, or other visible
irregularities that could compromise seal
integrity.
Check all manifold ports to make sure they
are plugged and seated.
