TRANSPORT AND MOVING
2.1.
Removing the packaging
Take care not to hit any persons or objects with the packaging during handling,
even if it is not particularly heavy. No special equipment is required for moving
the packaging.
Wearing protective gloves, cut through the strapping using scissors and lift the compressor
by hand or using lifting gear with a suitable load--bearing capacity and lower it onto the work-
ing surface.
The crankcase is already filled with lubricating oil ! Do not tilt the compressor!
Note the enclosed add--on parts and check the compressor for intact condition.
2.2.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging material should be kept at a suitable location on site for possible future trans-
port or at least for the duration of the warranty period. This makes shipping to the service
centre easier if required. Later, please dispose of the packaging in accordance with the appli-
cable regulations.
