8.7 - Description of dangers and specific protections
The builder has anyway provided to reduce the dangers which can occur due to an incorrect utilization of the machine
installing some protection devices on the machine.
8.8 - Description of no eliminable dangers by the security measures adopted
The no-eliminable dangers by the security measures adopted from the builder are caused by an incorrect utilization of
the machine or by a loss of respect, from the user, of the security norms described in this handbook (make reference
to paragraph 8.1).
9.UPKEEP. CHANGE OF PARTS. CLEANING
Before to proceed to any upkeep operation, change of parts, cleaning and regulation be sure
that the machine is switched off and disconnected from the feed grid network
9.1 - Upkeep procedure
A regular upkeep of the electric pump increases the duration and the security of the functionning. Almost once a year
you should provide to a check of the apparatus (transmission belt, rotor and screws). Such check should be carried out
from a qualified person. Before any upkeep operation, disconnect the apparatus from the feed grid network, switching
off the general switch, disconnecting the plug of the machine.
The periodical checks to carry out are the following:
- wear and tear's check of the belts;
- fins check of the neoprene rotor;
- mouths closing check during the inactive period;
- check of the screw closing of the blocking motor and the pumpbody on the support;
- periodical check of the pipes. Be sure that they aren't damaged or worn and torn.
Moreover we remember you that any repair would be necessary in consequences of damages, bad functionnings and
so on should be carried out only from qualified staff.
Abstain to intervene personally!
9.2 - Change of parts of the machine
The change of parts of the machine, if necessary, should be carried out only from qualified staff.
9.3 - Cleaning
When the period of utilization of the pump is finished it is necessary to carry out a general cleaning of the machine.
To proceede to the cleaning inside the pumpbody, you should let flow some clean water.
10. REGULATION AND CALIBRATION
10.1 - Regulations
The pump "Volumex" needs no regulation or calibration from the user, because the first installation is carried out with the
help of an authorized technician. Possible regulations of the machine should be carried out from a qualified person.
11. DISMANTLING. OFF LINE
In case you decide to utilize the electric pump nomore or to substitute it with another one, you should proceede to
dismantle it and to put it off line. Such operation should be carried out according to norms in force.
12. DEMOLITION AND ELIMINATION
In case the machine for the wine-making industry has been put out of service, its parts should be destroyed because
they could be dangerous.
The materials of the machine which have to be subdivided, according to the norms in force, are:
- plastic
- rubber
- steel
All the above mentioned operations, and the final elimination, should be always carried out respecting the law dispo-
sitions in force.
13. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
13.1 - Kind of fire-proof means
In case of fire-emergency, you should utilize a powder fire-extinguisher according to the norms in force.
Never use liquid fire-extinguishers.
