Description of the machine
The electric pumps "Volumex" made of stainless steel for the wine-making Industry are devided into two groups of
models:
-group A: Electric pumps type 30 and 40 with enamelled trolley
-group B: Electric pumps type 50, 60 and 70 with enamelled and inox trolley.
The electric pump "Volumex" is made esentially of: a) Pumpbody of stainless steel (AISI 304); b) rotor in neoprene;
c) motor with inverter permitting the reversible flow; d) electric panel with contactor and selctor; e) support trolley; f)
by-pass (optional); g) electric panel.
The machine described in this handbook is in conformity with:
-Directive of the machines 89/392/CEE and following integrations: 91/368/CEE, 93/44/CEE,93/68/CEE;
-Norms UNI EN 292/1 and 292/2 (safety of the machinery: main concepts general principles of plan);
-Norms UNI EN 60204-1 (safety of the machinery: electrical equipment of the machines).
-Directive 89/109/CEE (materials and object destined to get in contact with foodstuff products).
General principles of functionning
The Electric pumps "Volumex" of stainless steel are driven by an electrical motor. In the types 30 and 40 the pump is
directly dovetailed to the shaft. In the types 50, 60 and 70 the pump is dovetailed to a pulley (a throat for the pumps
type 50, two throats for the pumps type 60 and 70) bonded to the motor through the belt. The entering and the passa-
ge of the working liquid takes place through two changeable mouths according to the type, at the two sides of the
pumpbody, with a coin of 120 degrees c. At the mouths are bonded suitable pipes to pump the liquid.
