Mix all well ingredients in a bowl. Add the
meat and turn it several times in the mari-
nade so that it is completely covered. Cover
and leave in the refrigerator for roughly 10
hours.
Hot marinade
(for 500 g meat):
3 tablespoons of vinegar (e.g., vinegar)
4 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of honey
1 tablespoon of hot chili paste (e.g., sam-
bal oelek)
Mix all well ingredients in a small bowl. Brush
the meat with the marinade and then cover
and leave in the refrigerator for roughly 10
hours.
Roast chicken
Wash the chicken and dab it dry. Season with
herbs – depending on taste with salt, ground
paprika or chicken seasoning – all over.
Fill the drip tray up to the "MAX" mark with
water. Insert the grill plate and preheat the
appliance to medium level. Put the seasoned
chicken onto the grill plate and cover it with
the cover. The cooking time is approximately
45 minutes.
After using
1. Turn the thermostat anticlockwise until it
stops.
2. Pull the plug out of the mains socket.
3. Allow the appliance to cool down.
4. Remove the grill plate or the grate and
the heating element (9) from the appliance.
5. Empty the drip tray (7).
6. Use a sponge and washing-up liquid to
remove stubborn stains from the warm grill
grate.
7. Clean the appliance as described in
the section Cleaning and maintenance
(page 16).

Use pot holders or kitchen gloves when
removing the heating element, the grill
grate or the grill plate.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before beginning any work, pay attention to
the safety instructions in the section Safety
precautions (page 10)!
The appliance must be cleaned after each
use.
1. Clean the appliance as soon as it has
cooled down. Waiting too long makes clea-
ning unnecessarily difficult.
2. Leftovers that stick to the grill grate can
burn into the coating if not removed correctly.
Grill grate/grill plate
1. Wipe the warm grill plate with a damp
cloth or sponge and a little washing-up liquid
and then with a damp cloth without washing-
up liquid.
Drip tray
1. Remove the heating element (9) from the
grill.
2. Remove the drip tray (7), empty it and
wash with warm dishwater.
3. Dry off the drip tray.
Housing
1. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth or
sponge.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for
a longer period of time, clean it as described
in the section Cleaning and maintenance
(page 16).
Store the appliance and all accessory parts
at a dry, clean and frost-free location, which
is protected against direct sunlight.
