For the PROMAX-10 to demodulate an audio signal and show its
characteristics (level and frequency offset), press the AUDIO [F2] key. In the
attached figure, the audio carrier level is 72 dBµV and the frequency offset is -0.5 MHz
(∆F). It also shows if the audio (whether Level, FM or AM) is activated (a speaker
appears) or not (no icon appears). To change the audio carrier offset (∆F) and the audio
modulation (Level, FM, AM or OFF) accede to each parameter from the screen or from
the Channel-Frequency configuration menu (section 4.2.3.3).
Figure 22.- Audio demodulation and measurement.
This screen also shows the video carrier frequency (FR), the audio subcarrier
frequency (AF), the channel tunning (CH) and the audio carrier offset (∆F).
The SLM (SIGNAL LEVEL METER) function allows to measure the channel
power level in both ways, numerically and graphically through an analogue bar with
resolution of 1 dB, as shown in the previous figure. Simultaneously, this is indicated by
the loudspeaker which emits a tone that varies with the measured level TONE ON/OFF
[F2].
