Do not allow the motor the run at full power for a long
time when still moored. The motor will not then reach
its nominal speed and will use a unnecessary amount
of energy.
If the motor and/or the regulator becomes too hot due to over-
loading, for example due to a plastic bag or rope in the propeller,
the power will be reduced until the motor or regulator has cooled
down sufficiently.
If the above occurs, resolve the cause of the overloading at once.
At the end of a cruise
• Close the sea cock.
• Turn the switch on the handle to the 'Off' position.
• Switch the (battery) main switch off.
With a on-board installed battery charger:
• Connect the battery charger to the dock electricity supply and
check that the batteries are being charged.
With a dock-side installed battery charger:
• Connect the batteries to the dock-side battery charger and
check that the batteries are being charged properly.
Always recharge the batteries after a cruise!
