- remove the control board inspection cover
- on the control board:
- for conversion from natural gas to LPG, fit the jumper at JP3
- for conversion from LPG to natural gas, make sure the jumper
is not fitted at JP3
- close the control board inspection cover
- power the boiler and open the gas tap (with the boiler working,
check there are no gas leaks).
- put back the shell.
The boiler may only be converted by qualified staff.
After competing conversion, adjust the boiler again as
indicated in the specific paragraph and apply the new rating
plate contained in the kit.

After removing the flange it will be possible to inspect and clean
inside the water tank and check the condition of the magnesium
anode.
- Turn off the hot water system stopcock and empty the water tank
through the drainage device (fig. 20 page 130)
- Loosen the nut and extract the anode (1)
- Remove the nuts (2) blocking the external flange (3) and extract it
- Clean the inside surfaces and remove all the debris through the
opening
- Check the wear conditions of the magnesium anode (1), replace
if necessary
- Check that the gasket (4) is in good condition after extracting it
from the inside flange (5), replace if necessary.
Complete the work of cleaning, re-mount the components working
the other way round to above description.

CHECKING COMBUSTION PARAMETERS

To ensure the product remains in perfect working order, and to
comply with current legislation, systematically check the boiler at
regular intervals.
To analyse combustion, proceed as follows:
- turn the programme selector (1) to position
- pull out and turn clockwise as far as it will go (chimney sweep
programme). The pilot light will be yellow and flashing.
The boiler is working at maximum at this point and it will be possible
to start analyzing combustion:
- B.A.I. (fig. 21b):
- bore a hole in the straight tube located after the hood outlet at
least 400-500 mm away from the latter (as provided by
regulations in force) and insert the combustion analysis probe
- remove the probes after inspection and close the analysis
opening
- B.S.I. (fig. 21c):
- use appropriate instruments to work on the air chamber
openings, after removing protection cap (A).
The first tap is connected to the air intake circuit and detects
infiltration of fumes from concentric outlets; the second is directly
connected to the fumes outlet circuit and is used to detect
combustion parameters and efficiency.
- remove the probes after inspection and close the openings by
their caps
- turn the programme selector back to its original condition and
set it on summer or winter depending on the chosen programme
- regulate the heating water and hot water temperature to
customer's requirements.
The chimney sweep programme will keep working for another 15
minutes and will then automatically turn itself off.
The programme will not work if the boiler has a request for
heat (T.A. or P.O.S.).
