E.
Switching off for short periods
In the event of brief periods of absence, move the mode selector to
"OFF/RESET". The anti-freeze function remains active.
Switching off for long periods
In the event of long periods of absence, move the mode selector to
"OFF/RESET". Turn off the gas tap under the boiler by turning it
clockwise (fig. 11).
In this case, the antifreeze function is inefficient: drain the
systems if there is risk of freezing.
F.
There is a LED on the control panel, previously described as the
"Boiler status LED", which changes colour depending on the
operating status of the appliance:
- green LED
- red LED
- yellow LED.
Green LED
- Flashing 1 second on - 5 seconds off = boiler on stand-by, no
flame.
- Flashing 0.5 seconds on – 0.5 seconds off = appliance
temporarily stopped due to the following automatically resettable
faults:
- water pressure switch (waiting time about 10 minutes)
- differential air pressure switch (waiting time about 10 minutes)
(Boiler B.S.I.)
- heating NTC (waiting time 2 minutes)
- transitory waiting for ignition.
- Rapid flashing with brief visualisation, access to the S.A.R.A.
(Automatic Ambient Adjustment System) function.
Move the heating water temperature selector to the AUTO area
- temperature from 55 to 65 °C - (fig. 8) to activate the S.A.R.A.
self-adjustment system: the boiler changes delivery temperature
depending on the ambient thermostat closing signal. When the
temperature set with the heating water temperature selector is
reached, a 20 minute countdown begins. If the ambient thermostat
continues to request heat during this period, the set temperature
value automatically increases by 5°C. When the new set value
is reached, another 20 minute countdown begins. This new
temperature value is the result of the temperature set manually
with the heating water temperature selector and the +10°C
increase of the S.A.R.A. function. After the second increase cycle,
the temperature value will return to the set value and the
forementioned cycle will repeat. After another heat request, the
boiler will work at the temperature set with the heating water
temperature selector.
- A fixed green light indicates that the flame is present and the
boiler is working correctly.
Red LED
The steady red LED indicates that the boiler has blocked due to
one of the following faults:
- flame block
- NTC heating probe (after the transitory phase)
- ACF electronics fault alarm
- water pressure switch (after the transitory phase)
- fumes thermostat (Boiler B.A.I.)

LED
- differential air pressure switch (after the transitory phase*) (Boiler
B.S.I.).
(*) In this phase, the boiler waits for operating conditions to be
reset. If the boiler does not start working properly after the waiting
time has elapsed, it stops permanently and the red LED lights up.
The flashing red LED means the limit thermostat has stopped the
boiler.
Yellow LED
ON = fault in the NTC domestic hot water probe. This only works
when the boiler is on stand-by.
The boiler works normally but does not guarantee the temperatu-
re stability of domestic hot water.
Call the Technical Service Centre.
Flashing = "flue cleaner" function active.
To reset
To reset, turn the programme selector to "OFF/RESET" (fig. 10),
wait 5-6 seconds and then turn it to the required position: summer
or winter (fig. 3a-3b).
If the boiler does not start working properly, call the Technical
Service Centre.
For water pressure switch anomaly
At the start of the cold season and from time to time make sure that
the thermohydrometer reads a cold system pressure value ranging
between 0.6 and 1.5 bar (blue area) in order to prevent noise
deriving from the presence of air.
The boiler will switch off if not enough water circulates. In no case
must the water pressure drop below 0.5 bar (red area).
If this happens, increase the water pressure in the boiler as
described below:
- turn the mode selector to "OFF/RESET" (fig. 10)
- open the filling tap (fig. 12) until the pointer on the
thermohydrometer returns to the correct pressure value, between
0.6 and 1.5 bar (fig. 13).
Close the tap carefully.
Move the mode selector back to its previous position.
In case of frequent pressure drops, call in the Technical
Service Centre.
