This appliance has a FOOD PROCESSOR function and a COOKING function, which may be used
independently or simultaneously.
In addition to these is a TIMER function, which switches the appliance off at the end of the preparation
process.
The step by step instructions in the recipe book illustrate how to set the appliance for each stage in a
recipe, allowing you to prepare complete dishes with a single appliance. The appliance also has a number
of programs which automatically perform every single step in the preparation of 20 different recipes.
To learn how to make full use of the capabilities of this appliance, we recommended starting by trying
all the recipes detailed in the recipe book, which includes examples and tips for every type of food
preparation procedure possible.
This will familiarise you with the different techniques and the respective quantity limits for each technique,
and will allow you to gain the confidence to create your own recipe variants easily and without assistance.
FOOD PROCESSOR FUNCTION
Ten different motor speeds are available (from 1 to 10), from very low speeds for mixing while cooking to
high speeds offering the same functionality as a conventional food processor/blender.
The PULSE motor function lets you control chopping results more precisely and is useful for adding
more air to the ingredients in certain processes.
For particularly hard ingredients, the pieces placed in the bowl should be no more than approximately
1.5 cm per side (roughly the size of a stock cube or sugar cube). In the case of softer foodstuffs (such as
fruit and vegetables), larger pieces may be placed in the bowl.
The appliance is not suitable for chopping very hard foodstuffs (coffee beans, cereals etc.) or for
pulverising.
Do not use the chopping/kneading blade on ice or frozen foods, as this will blunt it. Use the specific ice
crushing blade, and do not work with foods that are frozen solid; frozen foods must be removed from the
freezer 10-15 minutes before processing.
The accessories intended for the food processor function are the mixing blade, the chopping/kneading
blade and the ice crushing blade. They are used as follows:
