a.) Packaging symbols
The instrument satisfies the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility.
Please note that under the influence of unfavourable field strengths, e.g. du-
ring the operation of wireless telephones or radiological instruments, adverse
effects on function cannot be excluded.
The electromagnetic compatibility of this device has been verified by tests ac-
cording to the IEC60601-1-2:2014 requirements.
Attention / Contraindications!
a.) There is a possible danger of inflammation of gases if the instrument
is operated in the presence of inflammatory mixtures or mixtures of
pharmaceuticals and air or oxygen or laughing gas!
b.) Never attempt to take the instrument apart!
c.) Unplug the instrument before cleaning or when disinfecting.
d.) ri-former predictive thermometer RPT-100 probe and probe cover are
designed for use with this thermometer.
e.) Do not use this thermometer without first installing a new RPT-100
thermometer probe cover.
f.) Use only predictive thermometer RPT-100 probe covers with this device.
g.) Use of any other probe cover will result in erroneous temperature readings.
h.) The device and probe covers are non-sterile. Do not use on abraded tissue.
i.) To limit cross contamination, only use blue devices for taking oral and
axillary temperatures.
j.) Use red devices only for rectal temperatures.
k.) Thoroughly dry all electrical contacts on both probe and thermometer after
washing or device may fail to function properly.
l.) For re-calibration, service or integrity checks refer to a qualified biomedical
technician or return to manufacturer.
m.) Do not open unit. No user-serviceable parts inside. Opening device may
affect calibration and voids warranty.
n.) Disposal of used probe covers must be performed in accordance with
current medical practices or local regulations regarding disposal of infecti-
ous, biological medical waste.
o.) Cleaning frequency and practices must be consistent with institutional policy
for cleaning of non-sterile devices.
p.) Device to be used by trained personnel.
3. Intended use / Indications for use
The optional RPT-100 predictive thermometer's expansion module is used for
measuring body temperature in the mouth (oral), the anus (rectal) and the arm-
pit (axillary) and thus aids the detection, diagnosis and monitoring of vital body
functions.
The wall-mounted ri-former® can be used with various instrument heads and
modular components for non-invasive diagnosis.
4. Attachment
a.) Drilling instructions/drilling plan
Using the dotted lines on the drilling plan, the RPT-100 with ri-former®
diagnostic station can be fixed on the designated position onto the wall.
If the RPT-100 is fixed at a different position related to the ri-former®
diagnostic station, the drilling plan must be separated with scissors on the
marked lines.
b.) Attaching the wall mounting plates
After you have drilled the holes, take the plugs supplied and push them into
the holes. Take the wall mounting plate and hold it onto the wall so that the
screws can be pushed through the holes of the mounting plate into the
plugs. Now screw in the screws with a screw driver.
When all screw have been screwed in tightly, take the thermometer module
and guide the screw heads through the openings. Then press the thermo-
meter module downwards until it snaps into place.
