b.) Probe covers - applying and removing

panel.
2.) Insert box of probe covers into the left of the probe well. (To aid infection
control, never switch boxes between blue and red probes.)
3.) Remove probe from the probe well.
4.) To remind the user to apply or remove a probe cover, a probe icon with
a flashing probe cover is displayed when the probe is withdrawn from the
probe well and also following a completed temperature measurement.
5.) Insert the probe end into a cover in the box. Push the handle firmly until you
feel the cover 'snap' into place.
6.) Take appropriate temperature measurement (oral, axillary or rectal).
7.) Eject the used cover into bio-waste container by pressing top button.
8.) Remove, discard and replace box when empty.
c.) Changing probes
1.) To avoid infection, use only the blue probe
for taking oral and axillary temperatures.
The red probe must only be used for taking
rectal temperatures.
2.) To remove or replace the probe,
squeeze inward to release the catch
on the left of the probe well as shown,
then slide it up to pull off.
3.) Slide L-shaped connector down to
pull off as shown.
4.) To change probe, properly align the top
of the L-shaped connector to the slot.
Then slide the connector up into the slot,
