5. Cleaning and care
NOtICE
the following cleaning and care suggestions
are non-binding instructions. RECARO as-
sumes no liability for these suggestions.
Follow the instructions for using the particular
care or cleaning agent.
First test the effects of a care or cleaning agent
in an inconspicuous place before you treat the
entire seat with the agent in question.
5.1. Cleaning the cover
Basic cleaning
Use a standard dry foam cleaner to clean the
cover of your RECARO racing shell after it has
been in use for a long time. This freshens up
the cover and restores the original shine to the
colours.
Always clean the entire surface and not just indi
vidual areas. This prevents unattractive edges.
Allow the covers to dry for at least 48 hours after
cleaning.
Removing dirt stains
Remove dirt patches immediately if possible.
Clean the cover with a standard commercially
available dry foam cleaning agent or a mild
detergent.
Avoid vigorous rubbing with aqueous solutions
as this will roughen the fabric surface.
5.2. Cleaning the racing shell
NOtICE
Solvents can damage the racing shell!
Do not use any solvents (e.g. cleaning sol
vents) to clean the racing shell.
Make sure that the racing shell does not come
into contact with solvents.
Use a mild soap solution to clean the racing
shell. To do this use a moist sponge.
