Steady Flow
Steady Flow is not operational in surface pump applications when using an analog pressure
transducer. It is operational in surface applications when using the traditional SubDrive
pressure sensor. See owner's manual for when to use Steady Flow.
Application Selection
SubDrive Connect units can operate submersible or surface pumps. For surface pumps,
ensure that DIP SW1 Position 6 is in the "ON" (up) position, which is indicated by "CEN"
(surface/centrifugal).
Motor / Pump Size
Motor (hp) and Pump (hp) selections are only used in submersible pump applications.
Motor Overload (A)
Motor Overload (A) is only used in surface pump applications. Select the one DIP switch
(SW2-1, SW2-2, SW2-3, SW2-4, SW2-5, SW2-6, SW3-1, or SW3-2) that corresponds to
the overload current value that is equal to or less than the motor nameplate current rating.
Selecting none or more than one switch will result in an Invalid DIP Switch Fault indicated
by F24 on the display.

System Response
System Response is only used in surface pump applications when using an analog pressure
transducer. Select one DIP switch (SW3-3, SW3-4, or SW3-5) for FAST, MED, or SLOW
system response. Selecting no system response DIP switch in surface pump applications will
default to SLOW response (an Invalid DIP Switch Fault will NOT be shown). Selecting more
than one switch will result in an Invalid DIP Switch Fault indicated by F24 on the display. Each
system response corresponds to a preset value of Proportional Gain (P), Integration Time (I),
and Ramp Rate (R). (Note: Due to change in the feedback algorithm, the P and I values for
submersible pump applications do not operate the same in surface pump applications)
