Take the tubing with both hands and insert it into the sealing head.
– The starting switch will be actuated.
– The progress LEDs indicate the sealing progress and the end of the
sealing process.
While the sealing is in progress, several red indicator LEDs are
subsequently lit from the top to the bottom, until the green LED at the
bottom stops lighting.
– The sealing process is finished.
– The seal has a seam which permits separation of the tubing exactly
in the center of the seal.
Remove and pull apart the tubing.
Connect the exchangeable cable to the hand sealer and to the
CompoSeal Universal. Interconnect the two adapters and turn them
clockwise.
The tubing to be sealed can easily be placed between the sealing
electrodes.
Note
Make sure that the tubing is positioned completely between the sealing
electrodes.
Then squeeze the hand sealer. When sufficient pressure is exerted, the
hand sealer will activate a circuit that transfers the radio-frequency
energy to the electrodes causing the plastic tubing to melt and to form
the seal.
The seal has a seam which permits separation of the tubing exactly in
the center of the seal.
The top of the hand sealer is provided with an indicator which lights in
a radio frequency field. Only when the indicator stops lighting is the
sealing process completed. Therefore please make sure not to open the
hand sealer jaws before the indicator has stopped lighting.
The hand sealer has a built-in alarm that is sounded in the event of
sparking. Errors may occur if the tubing is wet on the outside or when a
seal has become leaky. The alarm alerts the operator to re-seal the
tubing.
