• Exercise the necessary caution when working on vol-
tages exceeding 30 V AC eff. or 42 V DC as there is a
danger of electric shock
• Never apply a voltage between the connections or bet-
ween the connections and earth that exceeds the sta-
ted rated voltage of the measuring instrument.
• Check the measuring cables for damaged insulation.
Check the continuity of the measuring cables and re-
place damaged cables. In addition, check the insula-
tion of the measuring instrument sockets.
• Before using the appliance, check its function by
measuring a known voltage.
• Do not use the measuring instrument in areas where
there are explosive gases, vapours or dust.
• Do not use the measuring instrument if the lid of the
battery compartment or other parts of the housing
have been removed.
• In order to avoid incorrect measured values that could
lead to electric shock or injuries, replace the battery
.
as soon as the battery symbol appears on the display.
• Connect the earth measuring cable before the live
measuring cable . Remove the measuring cables in
the reverse order, i.e. disconnect the live measuring
cable first.
• When using the measuring cables, always keep your
fingers behind the finger protector on the probe grip.
• Use only the measuring cables supplied or cables
conforming to EN 61010-1 CAT III/IV (1000/600V)
with the measuring instrument.
• Avoid strong mechanical stresses, such as pressure
or vibration.
• Clean the appliance only with a soft cloth; it may
be moistened if the appliance is very dirty.
