1. Turn the rotary switch to the resistance measuring
range (CAP/Ω) and select resistance measurement
using the MODE button ('MΩ' appears on the display).
2. Insert the plug of the red measuring cable in the V/Ω
measuring socket and the black measuring cable in the
COM measuring socket.
3. Connect the measuring cables to the object to be mea-
sured. When measuring at the highest range, the
measuring instrument may under certain circumstan-
ces require a little time to display a stable value. This is
due to the principle of measurement and is not a mal-
function. In the case of very small resistance values
(400 Ω range), the internal resistances of the measu-
ring cables and sockets can lead to an incorrect display.
The resistance value displayed when the measuring tips
are connected together is noted and subtracted from
the subsequent measured values.
Diode test
This function enables semiconductor paths to be tested for
continuity in one direction and blocking in the other.
Before measuring resistance, continuity, diodes or
capacitance, switch off the current in the circuit
and discharge all capacitors.
1. Turn
and select diode test using the MODE button ( is dis
played „
2. Insert the plug of the red measuring cable in the V/Ω
socket and the black measuring cable in the COM so-
cket.
3. Connect the measuring cables to the object to be mea-
sured, e.g. a diode. If over-range (OL) is displayed im-
mediately, swap over the measuring cable connections
on the object to be measured.
