PERMATAPE Suture
™
DESCRIPTION
PERMATAPE™ Suture is a synthetic, sterile,
braided, flat suture composed of dyed
(chromium cobalt aluminum oxide) and un-dyed,
non-absorbable polyethylene.
PERMATAPE Suture does not comply with
USP size classifications of surgical suture.
PERMATAPE Suture is available in sterile,
braided, blue-dyed strands and sterile, braided,
undyed and blue-strands, packaged in cartons
as single or multi-packs, in box sizes of six (6).
INDICATIONS FOR USE
PERMATAPE Suture is indicated for use in
general soft tissue approximation, and/or
ligation, including use with allograft tissue for
orthopedic procedures.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
PERMATAPE Suture is not indicated for
cardiovascular or neurological procedures.
STERILIZATION
Contents sterile unless package has been
opened or damaged.
ACTIONS
PERMATAPE Suture is not absorbed, but
may become encapsulated in the surrounding
connective tissue.
