When the battery is fully charged, the charger´s LED will
blink in green to let you know that the charge is completed.

Disconnect the charger from the bicycle´s charging port
by pressing on the lower tab of the charging port and
carefully pulling from the charger´s cable. Make sure the
charging port´s cover is correctly closed.
While the charger is connected to Rise, the bicycle cannot
be powered on. If you want to know the exact internal
battery level at a given time, disconnect the charger from
the bicycle, turn Rise on, and connect it to your Garmin
unit with Orbea RS Toolbox.
On assemblies with the Shimano SC-EM800 display,
disconnect the charger and power the bicycle on to see
the current battery level on the display´s screen.
Avoid discharging your battery repeatedly below 10%.
Avoid leaving the charger connected to the battery for
more than 5 hours continuously and try to charge the
battery in a place where you can disconnect the charger
The lithium-ion batteries are sensitive to temperature
during the charging process. Observe the use, charge and
storage temperature ranges described in this manual.
TECHNICAL MANUAL
· RS RANGE EXTENDER BATTERY:
To charge the Range
Extender, plug the charger to the mains outlet. With the
charger not being connected to the bicycle the LED on
the charger´s body will blink in green.
Remove the Range Extender connection cable from the
Range Extender charging point by pressing on the lower
tab of the charging port and connect the charger to the
Range Extender. The LED on the charger´s body will show
a permanent red light while the battery is being charged.
When the battery is fully charged, the charger´s LED will
blink in green to let you know that the charge is completed.

While the Range Extender is charging,
the charge level indicator LEDs will
show the current battery level.

CHANGING THE ASSIST MODE

· WITH SHIMANO SW-EM800 / SW-E7000-L REMOTE
LEVERS:
To change between assist modes with the
SW-EM800 (assemblies with SC-EM800 display) or
the SW-E7000-L (assemblies with EW-EN junction) levers,
press the X button to increase the assist mode up until the
maximum available (Boost). Press the Y button to decrease
the assist level until the no-assist mode is reached.
The available assist modes are:
· OFF (no electric assist)
· ECO
· TRAIL
· BOOST

When changing between asist modes, the LED2 on the
EW-EN junction will chage colour to show the current as-
sist mode. On assemblies with display, the current assist
mode will be shown on the screen.

· WALK ASSIST:
To activate Walk Assist, press the W-EM800
/ SW-E7000-L remote lever button Y for 1 second until
the word WALK appears on the EM800 display or the
LED2 of the EN100 junction shows a blue light. Release
the Y button and press it again to engage Walk Assist. The
system will help you push the bike along as long as the Y
button is pressed.

WITH THE EW-EN100
JUNCTION: It is also possible to
change between assist modes by pressing the button on
the Shimano EW-EN100 junction. Press the button once
to change to the next assist mode up. When the Boost
mode has been reached, if pressed again, the system
will go back to the assist Off mode.
Do not use the junction to change between assist modes
while riding, as lifting your hand off the handlebar may
cause accidents and serious injuries.
