• Unscrew and push Arm Positioning Knob to
align holes and locate the Instrument Clamp onto
the Vertical Bar. (Figure 10)
Manipulating the Instrument Clamp
• Unscrew the Arm Positioning Knob counter-

Pre-processing Instructions
Point of Use
• Disassemble the device prior to cleaning.
Remove Instrument Clamp from Vertical Bar.
Remove Vertical Bar from Table Clamp. All
knobs must be loosened.
• Thoroughly rinse the instruments under cool
running drinking/potable water (<35°C/95°F) to
remove gross soil.
Containment and Transportation
• It is recommended that instruments are
reprocessed as soon as is reasonably practical
following use.
• It is recommended to keep the instruments
in moist conditions during transport for
decontamination.
Preparation for Cleaning
• Thoroughly rinse the instruments under cool
running drinking/potable water (<35°C/95°F) to
remove gross soil.
Note: "Drinking/potable water" refers to water which
meets the specification for Utility Water listed in
AAMI TIR34.
Manual Cleaning
1. Ensure all pre-processing instructions are
followed prior to cleaning.
2. Prepare a sink with a liquid enzymatic detergent
(Viruzyme at 4ml per litre or equivalent neutral
enzymatic detergent pH 6-8). If other enzymatic
solutions are used, prepare in accordance with
the detergent manufacturer's instructions.
3. Place device in the open/relaxed position, and
completely immerse in the detergent solution
and allow device to soak for a minimum of 5
minutes. Actuate all movable parts during the
initiation of the soak time.
4. Use a soft brush for 2-3 minutes to manually
clean the soil from the devices. Actuate device
while brushing, paying particular attention to
hinges, crevices and other difficult to clean
areas.
Note: It is recommended that the detergent solution
is changed when it becomes grossly contaminated
(bloody and/or turbid).
5. Remove the devices from the detergent and rinse
in running drinking/potable water.
6. Prepare an ultrasonic bath (compliant with HTM
01-05 or equivalent regional standard) with an
enzymatic detergent (Viruzyme at 4ml per litre or
equivalent neutral enzymatic detergent pH 6-8).
If other enzymatic solutions are used, prepare
in accordance with the detergent manufacturer's
instructions.
7. Immerse the devices completely in the ultrasonic
bath for a minimum of 10 minutes at 30°C
(86°F) (cycle frequency 37 kHz).
8. Remove the devices from the ultrasonic bath and
rinse in running drinking/potable water.
9. Dry the device with a clean, lint-free towel and
HEPA filtered pressurized air.
10. Visually examine each device for any remaining
residual contamination. If the devices are
not visually clean, repeat the full process as
described above until they are clean.
