6. Maintenance

6.8 - Smooth drum's scraper

The function of the scraper (R) is to prevent
the harvested crop from rolling onto the
smooth drum or accumulating inside the
platform, blocking the feed. To perform its
function efficiently, the scraper should remain
positioned as close to the smooth drum as
possible without touching it.
The purpose of the scraper is not to
assist the rotor to chop the crops, this
function is only of the counter-knife.
The scraper should be adjusted with
the smooth drum and not with the
knives.

6.8.1- SCRAPER ADJUSTMENT

ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
In order to access the counter-knife, it is

first necessary to articulate the platform,
proceeding as described in item 6.3;
Loosen the three bolts (N) and pull the

scraper (R) all the way forward;
Keep the three bolts (N) loose and return

the platform to the working position.
When closing it, the scraper (12) will be
pushed to the correct working position;
Open the platform again and tighten the

bolts (N), securing the scraper (R).
