NOTE! It is recommended that the control filter is replaced when changing
main filter.
1.
Access the filter with a lift or by using the service platform (see picture
no. 26 / A).
2.
Disconnect piping and cleaning valve from the top module.
3.
Separate the top module from the housing and disconnect the filters
earth connection cable from the top module.
4.
Put the old filter package in a large plastic bag, or wrap in plastic foil (see
picture no. 26 / B). Avoid dust spreading.
5.
Fit the new filter package and refit the top module. Remember to
reconnect the earth cable.
6.
Check earth connection between filter and GND1 before reconnecting
the pipes, hoses and cables.
7.
Check earth connection between the top and GND1 and Control filter.
Changing individual filter socks
Individual filter socks that have been damaged can be replaced. Use a
screwdriver to detach the plastic locking ring (see picture no. 27 / A).
The coiled spring can be reused with the new conductive filter sock, but the
locking ring (see picture no. 28 / B) must be replaced when securing the new
sock.
NOTE! Never re-use an old locking ring!

Control filter change

The control filter should normally be replaced after 6000 hours of operation.
The control filter must also be replaced if damaged or if there is a high
pressure drop over the control filter.
Procedure
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Risk for personnel injuries. The vacuum and compressed air to the FlexFilter EX
must be turned off before commencing filter change.
WARNING!

Risk for personnel injuries. Use proper protective equipment.
NOTE! Always check main filter for damage when replacing the control filter.
1.
Access the filter with a lift or by using the service platform.
2.
Disconnect the top piping of the filter housing and open top cover.
3.
Remove and put the old filter in a large plastic bag, or wrap in plastic foil.
Avoid dust spreading.
4.
Fit a new filter cartridge in place. Ensure that the filter cartridge is
centred and that the rubber seal on the housing is intact.
5.
Close the top cover and reconnect the pipes.
6.
Check the earth connection between the control filter and GND1.
