This manual contains important safety and operating instructions. Read this manual carefully
before using the charger for the first time and keep the manual in a safe place for future
reference.

PRODUCT FEATURE

GYSTECH 12.12 charges 12 V batteries from 2 Ah to 200 Ah, or provides maintenance charging for
12V batteries to 250Ah. The charger detects any battery with a voltage above 5 V. This product is
designed for charging SLA (sealed lead acid) batteries of various types i.e. WET/Flooded (Liquid
Electrolyte), GEL (Gelatin type Electrolyte, absorbed into the plates), AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
batteries.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Do not attempt to charge non rechargeable batteries

Respect the rating of the fuse, which is indicated on the charger.

Do not cover the charger while charging.
▪
Charging should be carried out in a well-ventilated, weather protected facility.
▪
Separate collection required. Do not throw in a domestic dustbin.
▪
Do not intend to supply power to low voltage electrical system

CHARGING

Connection:
Before connecting or disconnecting the battery leads, the power cord should be removed from the
mains.
Charging a battery connected to a vehicle:
• The positive "+" battery terminal usually has a larger diameter than the negative "-".
Charging of negative earthed battery:
• Connecting the black clamp to the "-" terminal, or to the chassis - making sure it's a safe
distance from the battery and fuel/exhaust pipe)
• Connect the red "+" clamp to the positive "+" terminal of the battery and the black clamp "-" to
the vehicle chassis.
Charging a positive earthed battery:
• Make sure the red clamp ("+" terminal connection) is a safe distance from the battery and
fuel/exhaust pipe
• Connect the black clamp to the negative "-" terminal of the battery and the red clamp "+" to
the vehicle chassis.
Charging a battery not connected to a vehicle:
• Connect the red clamp to the positive "+" terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the
negative "-" terminal.
