(7) TUNER circuit prote ction
When switching on the antenna p ower in the setup menu, the system will turn on the power
of the antenna and supply power to the external antenna. Then the system will turn on the
auto-protection function: when abnormal short circuit of the active antenna occurs, the
system will react at once and cut off the power of the active antenna; meanwhile, "antenna
short circuit" will be displayed on video output to inform the user. When the auto-protection
has turned off the power, the system will continuously check the external antenna until the
short circuit has been released, and then the system will reconnect power supply to the
external antenna.
When switching off the antenna power in the setup menu, the system will turn off the power
supply to the external antenna and passive antenna has to be connected.
