Add Emergency Contacts
Follow the on-screen prompts to select your Emergency Contacts from your smart phone. This
allows the Masimo SafetyNet Alert App to contact them in case of an emergency. An emergency
contact is someone who will be alerted if you experience a low oxygen event
1. Choose Add From Contacts or Add Manually to get started.
If prompted to Allow Masimo SafetyNet Alert to access your contacts, select Allow.

Note: If you Deny access, Masimo SafetyNet Alert cannot add contacts for use in case
of an emergency.
3. Select your emergency contacts from your contact list or add manually by entering the
contact name and mobile phone number.
CAUTION: Do not use contacts with a landline phone number since they will not be
able to receive text notifications in case of an emergency.
4. Select the types of alerts for the emergency contacts to receive and add the emergency
contact.
Once contacts are added to receive alerts, the Request Sent screen appears. Select Finish to
complete.
When finished, the Live Data screen appears. See

The emergency contact should receive a text message with a code. To accept, they
must use the code and respond to the message as instructed.
• A text message is also sent to you when the emergency contact has accepted.

Step 4: View Live Data

After setting up the Masimo SafetyNet Alert system, the app displays data from the Masimo
Sensor. The Live screen is also the Masimo SafetyNet Alert App Main Screen, with access to other
App functions.
