VII. HYGIENE AND MAINTENANCE
Re-sterilization of reused medical appliances has to be
done by someone who has been trained and is protected,
and the regulations in force have to be adhered to. The re-
sterilization protocol must be adapted to the infectious risk.
For each used product : please refer to the manufacturer's
instructions. Respect in particular the concentrations, the
exposure durations, the solutions' replacement and the
products' lifetime. Never mix the products. Please dispose
of products as per their instructions.Use only products aimed
at surgical material maintenance.
Do not use antiseptics designed for mucous or skin. Use only
products with alkaline or neutral Hp (between 2.5 and 9.0).
Do not use products including Aldehydes, alcohol or other
products that may fix protein.
Only use products which are compatible with stainless steel.
(no chlorinated compound) and aluminium.
Do not immerse the handpiece in non approved solution.
Do not clean the handpiece in an ultrasonic tank.

Wear protective clothing.
Wear protective gloves, in order to avoid any risk of
infection and wound. Moreover, motor shall not work
during all handlings.
7.1. Cleaning
Clean the material immediately after the surgery.
Withdraw the handpiece from the motor.
Withdraw the rotary instrument (tool) from the handpiece.
(see § 5.2.)
• Brush carefully the handpiece with a soft brush under the
water.(see § 5.2.).
• Dry the handpiece.
• Clean the material by spraying or with cleaning paper
soaked with bactericidal microbiologically controlled
products (Hp between 2.5 and 9.0).
Whatever the products used, comply with the indicated acting
time.
Do not use bactericidal products with alkaline or chlorinated
compound.
Do not immerse the handpiece in bactericidal baths or in an
ultrasonic tank.
Do not use sodium hypochlorite (bleach) : there is a high risk
of corrosion.
Do not use saltwort : there is a high risk of corrosion.
7.2. cleaning of the sprays

Cautiously clean the spray nozzles using the metal
wire Ref. DCB 9205 to remove dirt and deposits.
There is a risk of injury with the metal wire. It is
important to wear protective gloves and glasses.
If the nozzle remains clogged, contact the After-Sales Service
or the approved technical department to replace it.
X To prevent any stagnation of the spray water in the contra
angle duct, we recommend you blow air through the cooling
liquid duct. Wear protective glasses and a mask when you
do this.
