Intended Use
This handpiece is designed only for dental treatment use by qualified personnel.
CAUTION
· When operating this handpiece always consider the safety of the patient.
· Check for vibration, noise and overheating outside the patient's mouth before use. And if
any abnormalities are found in use, stop using immediately and contact your dealer.
· Depressing the push-button while handpiece bur is in rotation will result in OVERHEATING
of the handpiece head. Special caution must be exercised during use to keep cheek tissue
AWAY from the push-button of the headpiece. Contact with cheek tissue may cause the
push-button to depress and burn injury to the patient may occur.
· After long time use, handpiece may noisy. If this happened, change the cartridge. Do not
use other than NSK products.
· Do not attempt to disassemble the handpiece nor tamper with the mechanism.
· Use only NSK genuine cartridge. Turbine and cartridge should not be rebuilt or recycle by
un-qualified NSK technician.

1) Depress the push button and insert the bur into
chuck.
2) Release the button.
(2) Removing
1) Depress the push button.
2) Remove the bur.
CAUTION
· Use only ISO Standard burs. (Bur diameter Ø1.59 - Ø1.60 mm)
· Follow the recommended bur speed that a bur manufactures appoints. If the speed is
lower than that, do not use.
· DO NOT use bent, worn, damaged or non-concentric burs. This may cause the
cartridge's early breakage.
· Keep bur shank clean. Uncleaned shank may allow debris to build up inside chuck,
causing weak bur retention.
· Insert the bur all the way into the chuck until it stops with the push-button fully
depressed. Do not use short shank burs in Standard Head handpiece.
· Use only the bur specified as below.

5. Sterilization
Autoclave sterilization is recommended.
Sterilization is required first time you use and after each patient as noted below.
Autoclave Procedure :
1) Scrub dirt and debris from the handpiece, and wipe clean with alcohol-immersed cotton
swab or cloth. Do not use a wire brush.
2) Lubricate with PANA SPRAY Plus/PANA SPRAY/Care3 Plus. Refer to 4. Lubrication.
3) Insert into an autoclave pouch. Seal the pouch.
4) Autoclavable up to max. 135˚C.
ex.) Autoclave for 20 min. at 121˚C, or 15 min. at 132˚C.
5) Keep the handpiece in the autoclave pouch to keep it clean until you use it.
*
Sterilization at 121˚C for more than 15 minutes is recommended by EN13060 or EN
ISO17665-1.
CAUTION
· Do not autoclave the handpiece, even when it is bagged, together with other
instruments, from which chemicals are not sufficiently cleaned. This is to avoid
discoloration and/or damage to the plating of the handpiece.
· Do not wash, soak, or wipe off the handpiece with/in the oxidation potential solution
(strong acid, super acid solution) or sterilized solution.

into the Spray Port. (Fig. 9.)
3) Remove the debris.
CAUTION
Do not blow the air into Clean Head Hole.
8. Replacing the O-rings (QD Coupling)
Worn or damaged O-ring may cause air or water to
leak. When water is found in the exhaust air or water
leak from the coupled point, replace four O-rings as
Fig. 3
shown in Fig. 10.
*
