Evenly distribute the cargo on the crossbar carrier. Avoid loading
one side of the roof of the vehicle. Do not exceed the maximum
width of the crossbar carrier.

Loading - securing the cargo.
Never tighten the parts of the crossbar carriers together.
Loading - mounting additional extension parts.
First mount the crossbar carrier onto the lateral roof bars. Then
fasten the additional extension parts (e.g. bicycle holder, ski holder,
surfboard holder) according to the respective manual of the exten-
sion parts in question.

Caution. We recommend only using sockets mounted
on the T-slots (using a T-bolt). Assembly with metal
U-shaped sockets could damage the surface
treatment on the bearing profiles of the cross rail.
Assembly procedure

- Turn the key to the vertical (open) position and remove the cover.
- Move the safety lever in the direction of arrow 1 (Caution – Re-
lease the securing lever – Fig. 13) and release the detent arm,
arrow 2.
Be careful not to damage your hand!
- Repeat these steps for the base of the second crossbar carrier.

- Place the crossbar carrier with the fastening mechanism open on
the lateral roof bars and centralize it so that both ends hang over
the lateral roof bars evenly.
