Note
When the trigger gun is closed, the engine continues to
run at no load speed. The water thus circulates within
the pump and gets heated. When the cylinder head at
the pump has reached the maximum permissible tem-
perature (80°C), the safety thermostat at the cylinder
head will switches off the engine. The device can be re-
started after cooling down to below 50°C.
3. Cooling can be hastened while using compressed
water from the water supply pipes: Pull the lever of
the trigger gun for 2 - 3 minutes so that the circulat-
ing water cools down the cylinder head.
After each operation
DANGER
Danger of scalding by hot water. After cleaning with hot
water, release the gun and rinse the appliance with cold
water for at least 2 minutes.
Turning off the appliance
WARNING
Never stop the engine at full load when the trigger gun
is opened.
Note
After operating the water using saline water (e.g. sea
water), open the trigger gun and rinse the appliance for
at least 2 - 3 minutes using tap water.
1. Turn the temperature adjustment switch off and wait
until the discharge water is at normal temperature.
2. Release the lever on the trigger gun for 2 minutes.
3. Turn off the engine according to the requirements in
the engine operating instructions.
4. Close the water supply.
5. Operate the trigger gun until there is no pressure in-
side.
6. Lock the trigger gun with the safety buckle to pre-
vent its accidental opening.
7. Remove the water inlet hose from the appliance.
Transportation
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage! Take the weight of the appli-
ance into account when transporting it.
ATTENTION
Protect the trigger gun from damage during trans-
port.
1. When transporting in vehicles, secure the appliance
according to the guidelines to prevent slipping and
tipping over.

Storing the appliance
Note
Do not twist high-pressure hose.
1. Place the trigger gun on the holder at the frame to-
gether with the spray lance.
2. Roll up high-pressure hose and hang it into the re-
spective holders.
3. Pull the brake of the castor to ensure the appliance
does not roll away.

Care and maintenance
DANGER
Risk of injury by inadvertent start-up of appliance and
electric shock.
1. Switch the appliance off (see the section " Opera-
tion".
2. Allow the appliance to cool down.
Your KÄRCHER vendor will inform you about the perfor-
mance of a periodic safety inspection or the signing of a
maintenance contract.
Safety inspection/maintenance contract
You can agree on regular safety inspections or close a
maintenance contract with your dealer. Please seek ad-
vice on this.
Maintenance intervals
1. Check the oil level.
Note
Please contact Customer Service immediately if the oil
is milky (water in the oil).
2. Clean the filter in the water shortage safety device.
3. Check the fuel filter and clean as needed.
4. Check the fuel pre-filter and clean as needed.
5. Check the fuel pump fuel filter and replace as need-
ed.
6. Check the fuel tank and clean as needed.
1. Clean the sieve in the water inlet.
2. Clean the sieve in the water shortage safeguard.
Every 500 operating hours, at least annually
1. Have the device maintained by Customer Service.
2. Changing oil.
At least every 5 years, recurring
Perform the pressure test as per manufacturer's instruc-
tions.
Maintenance work
Note
See the section" Technical data " for the oil volume and
type.
Dispose of old oil ecologically or turn it in at a collection
point.
Ready a catch bin for appr.2 Liter oil.
1. Unscrew the oil drain screw.
2. Drain the waste oil in an oil catch pan.
3. Place the oil drain screw and tighten it.
4. Turn the oil filling screw out.
5. Fill the appliance with new fresh oil slowly.
Note
Air pockets must be able to leak out.
6. Screw the oil filling screw.
Carry out maintenance tasks to the engine according to
the specifications provided in the operating instructions
of the engine manufacturer.
DANGER
Risk of injury!
1. Check the high-pressure hose for damages (risk
danger).
2. Please arrange for the immediate exchange of a
damaged high-pressure hose.
