3. Remove heat shield – Using a 10 mm socket, remove (5) nuts from exhaust
heat shield. Remove the heat shield.
5. Drill holes – Raise the hitch into position and align it with forward attachment holes and carriage bolts. Use marker to mark a drill point at rearward hole center of
the bracket, both sides. Make sure the hitch sits straight with location marked. Lower the hitch down and use drill to drill a 1/2'' hole, both sides.

4. Feed forward fasteners – Using a flat head screwdriver, remove plastic cover
from access holes on both sides. Feed the carriage bolts ① and spacers ② to
forward attachment holes through access holes using the pull wires ⑤, see
Figures 1 & 2. Leave pull wires attached.
