FRAGMA
NOTE:
The configuration of DIP switches 1-2 determines the operating mode: 1-2 ON barrier mode (BARR).
sAFETY DEvICEs
If the external photocell is triggered during closing, the arm stops and reopens fully.
close again. However during an opening manoeuvre, engagement of the external photocell has no effect.
The STPA input is configured as internal photocell (default value). If the internal photocell is engaged during opening or closing, the gate stop immediately
and remain in position until the internal photocell is released. Once the photocell is released, the manoeuvre continues, e.g. the leaf continues to open or
close. If the operation of the STPA input is set to "normal edge" or "resistive edge", activating this input while the gate are moving causes them to stop and
then briefly reverse. A command is required in order to resume the manoeuvre.
NOTE: if when closing the automatic gate reopens 3 times due to an obstacle, it travels as far as the opening end position and stops (STOP). On the next
closing command, if there are no obstacles and the movement is completed successfully, the automatic gate returns to closed status.

MAN PREsENT MODE
If one of the safety devices is activated, for example due to a fault, it is possible to force the operation of the barrier.
button pressed for at least three seconds.
MAsTER/sLAvE MODE (P30)
This mode allows the simultaneous management of two EC30 boards, each with its own motor. These boards can begin communicating once the terminals
"TXRX" and "-" on connector CN6 have been connected.
Proceed as follows:
•
Connect "TXRX" on board 1 to "TXRX" on board 2; similarly, connect the "-" terminals on the two boards.
For optimal performance, we recommend using screened cables with a minimum thickness of 0.35 mm
•
A jumper should also be fitted to connector JP2 on one of the two boards (it does not matter which)
•
Configure parameter P30 as follows:
master board:
◦
slave board:
•
Connect the safety devices (stop device, photocells, etc.) to the master board only
•
Bridge the safety devices on the slave board to earth
•
Store any radio controls on the master board only, and make sure that no remote controls have been stored on the slave board (refer to the procedure
for the total deletion of all remote controls if necessary)
•
Carry out the movement learning procedure independently on the two boards. To start the slave board, use the APCH button on the board near the display,
checking that for the moment parameter P18 is set to 0 or 1
•
To achieve coherent behaviour of the two automatic gate systems, set the following parameters as equal on both boards:
P01 - P02 - P03 - P05 - P06 - P08 - P18 - P28 – P29
NOTEs
1. Communication between the two boards is monitored continuously; if one of them is switched off or no connection is detected, the automatic gate system
will no longer move, until communication has been restored or the function disabled (by setting P30 = 0).
2. Jumper JP2 is required for communication between the two boards and can be applied to either the master or the slave board (one is enough).
3. If an obstacle is encountered while one of the two automatic gate systems is moving, the movement of both is stopped and reversed, according to the
programmed logic.
sYsTEM WIRING FAULT DIAGNOsIs
The control unit is managed by a microprocessor and provides visual diagnostics via the display and LEDs for checking the status of the inputs and outputs.
1. Check all connections before supplying power to the board.
2. Unused NC inputs must be jumped.
3. After powering up the board, check that the green LEDs located above the terminal block in the lower right-hand part of the board, which indicate the NC
inputs, are ON.
4. Check that the red LEDs located above the terminal block in the lower right-hand part of the board, which indicate the NO inputs, are OFF.
After powering up the board, the display is fully illuminated for a few seconds, the firmware version Fx.xx appears and the letters FLSH blink for a short
time.
5. The LED, positioned above and to the left of the display, indicates the presence of mains voltage and therefore must be ON.
The LED indicates that power is supplied by the mains, otherwise, in the case of battery operation (optional) the message BATT and the battery voltage
measurement flash alternately on the display.
At this point the appliance is ready to operate.
Programming the functions and setting the control unit parameters is done via the LCD display, located in the upper right-hand part of the board, and the 4
white buttons on the board.
