will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord
unless plug can be fully inserted. Do NOT attempt to defeat this feature.
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or
install the product. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

melt, or ignite.
4. Do NOT operate the Flexolight tightly coiled.
5. Do NOT route the Flexolight, or cord through walls, doors, windows, or any like part of the
building structure.
6. Ensure all connections and the end cap on the last segment is tightly secured to preclude the
entry of water.

8. Do NOT exceed the length in feet permitted by the marking.
9. Do NOT puncture, cut, shorten, or splice the Flexolight lighting.
10. Do NOT use if there is any damage to the Flexolight, or cord insulation. Inspect periodically.

extension connector. Use ONLY the Flexolight extension connector for extending your
Flexolight rope lights.
15. CAUTION: California Prop. 65 Warning: Handling the coated electrical wire inside the rope light
can expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer,
birth defects, and other reproductive harm. You should thoroughly wash your hands if
you have come into contact with the internal coated wires in this product.
16. Do NOT leave Flexolight on when unattended. Your Flexolight rope lighting does get HOT
and must be installed in areas having good air circulation.
17. The outer surface of your Flexolight rope lighting may become hot after being left on for
an extended period of time. Allow sufficient time for the Flexolight to cool down prior to
handling the rope light.

19. Use caution when installing Flexolight in areas accessible to children. Flexolight should
not be used around children under 6 years of age minimum.

(GFCI) outlet or contact a qualified electrician to do your installation.
21. Periodic inspections of your Flexolight are important. Any sections of the Flexolight that
appear damaged, or have any of the internal wires protruding, or frayed should be
immediately disposed of. Do NOT operate your Flexolight if any of these conditions are
present.
22. Do NOT mount Flexolight over any sharp edges that can cut the plastic outer tubing.
23. Do NOT place Flexolight near areas having standing water, or running water such as pools, spas,
saunas, fountains, or the like. Flexolight is intended for outdoor installations that are either above
ground level, or areas that are well drained of water. Do NOT install, or submerge Flexolight under
water.
24. Do NOT install Flexolight near flammable materials (i.e. curtains, drapes, etc.), or materials
that may melt (i.e. carpeting, plastics, etc.) from the heat generated by the Flexolight rope
lighting.
25. NEVER glue, nail, or staple Flexolight directly onto any surface. Use ONLY the mounting clips,
and tie straps provided in the installation kit for securing your Flexolight.
26. Do NOT hang any objects from the Flexolight.

30. Do NOT exceed a total of 300ft. of connected rope lights.
WARNING: When using outdoor use portable lighting products, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, including the
following:
(a) Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection should be provided on the circuits or
outlet to be used for the outdoor use flexible lighting product. Receptacles are
available having built-in GFCI protection for this measure of safety.
(b) Use only outdoor extension cords, such as type SW, SOW, STW, STOW, SJW, SJOW,
