4 Safety Precautions and General Information:
4.1 General Safety Warnings and Cautions:
WARNING:
a. Do not use if product shows visible damage.
b. Prior to using this device, please read the instructions for equipment set up and
use. Familiarize yourself with the product before application on a patient.
c. To prevent patient and/or user injury and/or equipment damage, examine the
device and surgical-table side rails for potential damage or wear prior to use. Do
not use the device if damage is visible, if parts are missing or if it does not function
as expected.
d. Do not use the Advance Cervical Device (ACD) if you can see damage. Injury or
equipment damage can occur.
e. All modifications, upgrades, or repairs must be done by an approved person.
Injury or equipment damage can occur.
f. Do not exceed the rated patient weight. If you exceed the rated patient weight,
injury and equipment damage can occur.
g. Do not put any part of your body, or any tubes or cables in a location where a
crush hazard label is present. Injury and equipment damage can occur.
h. Make sure that all users are trained in the use of the ACD. Use by untrained
persons can result in injury or equipment damage.

Make sure that you do not use the ACD with a table that it is not compatible with.

j.
Before you adjust the ACD, make sure that all tubes and cables will not interfere
with the mechanism. Injury or equipment damage can occur.
