Precaution: Always use the device with the recommended foot cover and Spectra Sock to ensure the device works
properly. Don the Spectra Sock in a way that keeps it from interfering with ankle movement.
. Fit the device with the selected foot cover, Spectra Sock, and shoe.
. Turn the device ON.
. Adapt preferred shoes by performing Ankle Alignment (see above).
. Establish the correct height of the prosthetic system using the appropriate components.
. Introduce suitable socket angles; flexion/extension, and abduction/adduction using the adapter set-screws.
. Divide the foot cover length into equal portions (as set out below).
. The alignment reference line should fall at the junction of the posterior and the middle third portions (as
displayed below).

DYNAMIC ALIGNMENT

The heel stores energy after initial contact, slowly releasing it at mid-stance.
Heel-to-toe action can be influenced by anterior/posterior positioning of the device.
Note: Align the device to minimize medial-lateral motion during swing phase. Circumduction or any abnormal
swing phase side motion may affect the initiation of dorsiflexion during swing phase.
Note: Do not use the Manual Ankle Alignment in the Össur Logic mobile app (see "Accompanying Software"
section) to adjust flexion/extension. Use the adapter set-screws to make adjustments.
HEEL STIFFNESS
Heel too soft
Symptoms
Device will come to a flat position too early (user feels he/she is sinking into a hole)
Extra energy is required to climb up over the forefoot
Toe will feel too stiff
Knee may hyperextend
Actions
Shift socket anteriorly
Consider changing device blades to higher category
Heel too hard
Symptoms
Rapid heel-to-toe movement
User has poor control of prosthesis
Toe will feel too stiff (minimal energy return)
Knee may become unstable
Actions
Shift socket posteriorly
Consider changing device blades to lower category
AUTO ADJUSTMENT
Perform Auto-Adjustment during initial fitting to calibrate the device to the user's individual gait.
During Auto-Adjustment, the device recognizes the user's specific gait parameters, allowing for accurate and
consistent terrain detection. To complete Auto-Adjustment, the user must take
strides, preferably in a consecutive and uninterrupted manner.
