thank you for choosing a product from Bauerfeind. AchilloTrain is a high-quality medical
product.
Please read through these instructions for use carefully. If you have any questions please
contact your doctor, your local retailer or our Technical Service department.
AchilloTrain, the active Achilles tendon support is anatomically knitted which ensures an
excellent t. A viscoelastic pro led insert in the Achilles tendon area and the viscoelastic
heel wedge provide relief for the Achilles tendon, soothing pain. The massage effect of the
shaped insert promotes the circulation and helps reduce swelling and bruising.
Important: The supplementary heel pad must be worn on the healthy foot to compensate
leg length.
AchilloTrain must be tted for the rst use by a trained specialist, otherwise we cannot
accept any liability for the product.
Indications
• Painful irritation of the Achilles tendon (achillodynia) and adjacent tissues
• Follow-up management in Achilles tendon tears
Side effects
Side effects involving the body as a whole have not been reported to date. Correct tting
is assumed. Any supports and orthoses
excessively, lead to local pressure signs or, rarely, constrict the underlying blood vessels
or nerves.
Contraindications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not been reported to date. In the following
conditions such aids should only be tted and applied after consultation with your medical
retailer:
1. Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if in ammation is
present. Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and excessive heat build-up.
2. Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the foot, e.g. Diabetes mellitus.
3. Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue swellings of uncertain origin located
remotely from the tted aid.
Fitting AchilloTrain
1. Fold the upper part of the support outwards until the heel wedge can be gripped.
2. Pull the support over the foot until the heel is at the heel wedge.
3. Then pull up the folded-over part of the support taking care that the pro led insert is to
the side of the Achilles tendon.
4. Adjust the t of the support as necessary.
5. Do not forget: Insert the supplied compensation pad in the shoe of the healthy foot in

such a way that it is ush with the heel area of the shoe.
Important Information
• AchilloTrain is a prescribed product that should be applied under a physician's guidance.
AchilloTrain should only be applied in accordance with the instructions contained in
these usage directions and for the listed areas of application.

• The product is intented to be tted only once and to one patient.
• No liability is accepted for improper use of the product.
• Changes must not be made for the product. Non compliance can reduce the performance
of the product and thus no liability will be accepted.
• The heel wedge can be removed from the product if necessary. To do this, turn the support
inside out and extract the heel wedge through the opening in the velour pocket. If you
do remove the heel wedge, do not use the offsetting heel cushion on the unaffected
foot.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g. increased symptoms), please contact your
medical advisor without delay.
• A combination with other products (e.g. compression stockings) must be discussed
beforehand with your medical advisor.
• The product's unique action is produced primarily during physical activity. The product
should be removed during prolonged rest breaks (e.g. sleeping, continous sitting).
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any substances including grease or acids.
• Guarantee subject to statutory regulations.
• The product can be disposed of without any restrictions.
Caution: This Product Contains Natural Rubber Latex Which May Cause Allergic
Reactions.

All Train products

can be machine washed separately at 30 °C with liquid detergent.
Please note the following when washing your Train products:
1. For products with Velcro® straps: Remove the straps if possible, or fasten them
securely at the place provided for this purpose.
2. If possible, also remove pads/inserts and their terrycloth covers before washing.
We recommend using a mesh bag (spin cycle: maximum of 500 revolutions per minute). Air
dry your Train product. Do not dry it in a dryer because this can compromise the knitted
fabric.
Please wash your Train product regularly so that the compression of the knitted fabric
can be retained.
This product has been tested by our in-house quality management system. However,
should you have any complaint, please contact our local expert adviser or our customer
service department.
Standardized washing tests show that after 50 washing machine cycles full functionality of the
