Translation of the original operating instructions
5. Check the electrode gap (see fig. 21) with a feeler gauge (not included in the delivery).
The gap should be 0.7 - 0.8 mm. If necessary, correct the gap by bending the earth elec-
trode.
6. Screw the spark plug in by hand in order to avoid damaging the thread.
7. After manually screwing in a new spark plug, this should be tightened a further 180° with
the spark plug wrench provided in order to ensure that the spark plug is correctly seated.
If a used spark plug is to be reinserted for further use, an Abb.
21additional 45° to 90° turn will be required after initial insertion.
Caution!
The spark plug must be tightly seated. If the spark plug is
not tightly seated it can become very hot and possibly damage
the generator. Use only the recommended spark plugs.
7.5.
Maintenance of battery
Charge and check the battery when removed. Remove the connection cables and insulate
the contacts carefully to avoid a short-circuit.If you do not want to operate the generator for a
long time, remove the battery and keep it in a safe and dry place. Charge the battery at cer-
tain time intervals to maintain its functionality.

8. Transport and storage

Warning! Set the starter switch to "OFF" ("0") during transportation of the generator.
Always keep the generator horizontal to avoid fuel leakage. Fuel vapours or spilled
fuel can catch fire.
The tilting angle of the device should never be more than 15°!
Preparation for long-term decommissioning / storage of device:
1. Make sure that the storage area is free from excess humidity and dust.
2. Drain the fuel:
Turn the fuel cock to "OFF" ("0") (Fig. 22, no. 12). Remove the fuel hose from the fuel
cock. Turn the fuel cock to "ON" ("1") and fill the fuel in a suitable container using a fun-
nel. After the fuel tank has been completely emptied, shift the fuel hose back to the out-
let of the fuel cock.
3. Loosen the filter glass (fig. 23, no. 30) of the fuel filter and empty the residual fuel from
the filter (fig. 23, no. 29) into a suitable container.
If the fuel can no longer be used due to impurities, dispose of it in an envi-
ronmentally responsible way.
4.
Unscrew the spark Plug and pour about 20 ml of engine oil through the spark plug hole.
Pull gently on the pull starter (Fig. 24, No. 9) until you feel a resistance. At this point, the
piston is raised in the frame of the compression hub, the inlet and outlet valves are
closed and some oil is distributed in the engine. Screw the spark plug back in. Storage
of the motor in this position prevents corrosion inside the appliance.
Note:
The starter battery should be disconnected for transportation and storage.
The battery should be charged at regular intervals during storage / over win-
ter.
