11. If the surface meets the desired results, remove
the machine by turning the mandrel locking knob
counterclockwise (see Figure 15). If the surface
needs to be cut again, repeat steps 4 – 11 until
complete.

12. With one hand, support the bottom of the
QuickFace housing. With the other hand, use a
soft mallet (provided with the machine) to lightly
tap on the top of the mandrel locking knob. The
QuickFace should now break free from the work
piece ID. If it does not break free, turn the mandrel
locking knob a few more revolutions and try lightly
tapping again.
13. Place the QuickFace back in its carrying case.
Remove the tool bit and the locators and place
them in their storage locations.

Machine Maintenance
Lubrication
The QuickFace is relatively maintenance-free; however
periodic lubrication is recommended to maximize
performance and longevity.
The mandrel parts should be periodically lubricated
with multipurpose bearing grease (see Figure 16).
Remove the locators and pull up on the mandrel
locking nut to pull out the expanding shaft. Unscrew
the mandrel locking nut and apply grease to the
surfaces shown.
