4. Two feed screws are provided with the QuickFace.
If the surface finish is 125 – 250 microinches
(3,18 – 6,35 mm), use the ½ – 11 feed screw. If
the surface finish desired is 60 – 100 microinches
(1,52 – 2,54 mm), use the ½ – 20 feed screw. See
Figure 6 .
Remove the feed screw as follows:
a. Remove swivel slide assembly (loosen two
screws and rotate to remove).
b. Loosen lock collar screw
c. Turn feed screw to remove lock collar.
d. Remove feed nut.
Reverse steps a through d to reinstall the feed
screw.

5. Install the tool bit into the tool block (see Figure 7).
Make sure the cutting edge is facing away from the
tool bit screws. Position the tool bit so approximately
0.5 – 0.75 in. (12.7 – 19.1 mm) of it extends beyond
the bottom of the tool block; tighten the three tool
bit setscrews.

6. Remove any slop in the tool block by adjusting the
tool block setscrews (see Figure 8). Slightly tighten
or loosen the setscrews until the depth adjustment
screw freely rotates but is not hard to turn.
Adjust brass tip setscrews (see Figure 8).
