Cleaning
Clean the guard with a damp cloth (water and
detergent only) or using a plastics cleaning agent.
!
The guard is not to be cleaned using alcohol-based
cleaning agents such as glass cleaners.
Only use a soft cloth and neutral detergents to clean
the vent grille, housing and LCD of the EPS 205. Do
not use abrasive cleaning agents and coarse workshop
cloths. Always use clean cloths for cleaning the LCD.
6.2

6.2.2
Replacing high-pressure hose
Replace high-pressure hoses (operating pressure
greater than 60 bar) after 3 years (see date of
manufacture on high-pressure hose) even if there are
no apparent defects of relevance to safety.
The high-pressure hose (Fig. 1, item 10) is only to be
replaced by Customer service personnel.
6.2.3
Checking hoses
Always handle hoses (high-pressure and low-pressure
hoses) with care and check before use. Hoses are to
be replaced if checking reveals the following signs of
damage:
R
Cracks, brittle areas, abrasion or blistering at the
hose jacket
R
Kinked hoses
R
Stiff union nuts or quick-release couplings
R
Deformed or damaged hose connection end
(sealing cone, plug-in nipple, etc.)
R
Leakage at fitting
R
Corrosion at fitting if strength is reduced as a result
!
Damaged hoses are not to be repaired.
6.2.4
Check the protective hood contact
Injection component test must be carried out only with
the protective hood closed. That is why, the protective
hood contact must be checked every day.
1. Start a component test with the protective hood
open.
Diagnostic trouble code: 9005 Protec-
tive hood appears to be open.
2. Close the protective hood.
Diagnostic trouble code no longer appears.
Injection component test can be carried out.
6.2.5
Cleaning jet chamber and ring lamp cover
Clean the jet chamber with a clean cloth to remove
coarse dirt. Wipe over the ring lamp cover inside the jet
