• Please read these instructions carefully before using the toy and keep for future reference.
• Runs on 3 x 1.5 volt "AA" batteries (included). The batteries supplied with this product, at the point of
sale, are intended for demonstration purposes only; please replace them with new alkaline batteries
after completing your purchase.

• Before using the product remove and dispose of any plastic bags and any other packaging (e.g. fasten-
ers and fixing ties etc) and keep them out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard.
• Check the product regularly for signs of wear and damage and to ensure that it is assembled correctly.
Should any part be damaged, do not use the toy and keep it out of reach of children.
• Do not use this toy in any manner other than those illustrated in the manual.
• This toy should only be used under the supervision of an adult.
• Never leave the toy near heat sources or in direct sunlight for any length of time as this could cause
the plastic to deteriorate.
HOW TO USE THE TOY
Turning on and selecting the language
• To turn the toy ON, move the switch (A, Diag. 1) under the LCD display (B, Diag. 1) from the 0 position to
the I or II position, according to the volume desired. A short introductory tune and greeting will confirm
it is ON. All the toy's electronic functions are now ready to be used.
• Select the desired language by moving the switch (C, Diag. 1). A short greeting will confirm the language
choice.
• If it is not used for 2 minutes, the toy will say goodbye to the child and switch to stand-by mode until
any button is pressed again.
• In order to avoid using up the batteries for no reason, it is recommended to switch off the toy by moving
the switch (A) to the 0 position.
How to play with it
The factory default level is set to 1 (D, Diag. 1). To change the play level, press the corresponding buttons
as desired (E - F Diag. 1).
Level 1
On pressing the keys corresponding to the various LETTERS (G, Diag. 1), NUMBERS (H, Diag. 1) and
SHAPES (I, Diag. 1) the child will hear the name of the key he has pressed and see the relative image on
the LCD display.
Level 2
DISCOVER THE WORDS
Simply press any letter to start the toy again (G, Diag. 1). The game name "Discover the words" will ap-
pear on the display. From now on, each time the child presses a letter of the alphabet, he will hear how
to pronounce both the letter and the object/animal whose name starts with the selected letter (e.g. "B"
+ "BEE" ). The image of the letter followed by the corresponding object/animal will appear on the display.
