Operation
The frequency adapter must be set-up and calibrated to the specific out-
put of the sensor prior to measurement. Only then can accurate physi-
cal measurements be guaranteed. To achieve this, the PC configuration
software must be used to set up the adapter, the meter may also need
to be configured.
When configuring the meter, observe the following points:
• For meters connected to the Handmeter analog port: Measure-
ment ranges not automatically recognised (see table below) must be
separately set up in the meter.
• For meters connected to the Handmeter CAN port: No adjustments
need to be made in the meter.

Choosing the measurement range
Before measurements are taken, the frequency adapter must be config-
ured using the PC configuration software. To do this, the measurement
range of the attached frequency generator must be known. This range
can be discovered in the following ways.
The starting value of the range is always zero. Possible maximum values
of the range are pre-installed in a drop-down list in the PC configuration
program. The following table gives an overview of the possible sensor
ranges that can be selected in the PC configuration program.
