Connection of sensor and meter
1 Connect the sensor (frequency generator) to the Frequency Input port
of the frequency adapter.
The supplied sensor adapter can be used to connect the fre-
quency generator. You can find pin-out information for the sensor
adapter in the section "Connections".
2 Connect the terminating resistor to the Handmeter CAN port of the
frequency adapter.
3 Connect the connecting cable between the terminating resistor and a
CAN-bus sensor port on the meter.
4 Turn on the meter.
5 The instrument automatically detects the unit of measure and the
measuring range of the sensor. After a brief automatic parametrization
process, measurements are transmitted and displayed on the instru-
ment screen.
6 The LED lights to show the detection and operation of the Handm-
eter CAN port of the frequency adapter. Additional information about
the LED signals can be found in the "LED signals on the frequency
adapter" table.
The quick connection feature of the Handmeter CAN port means
that connections can be made quickly and securely by inserting
the connector and turning it between 90° and 180°.
