2. Commissioning

iMportANt:
the connection terminal of the power probe must be connected to the battery which is
connected to the on-board power supply of the vehicle to be tested.
1. After you connect the terminal to the vehicle battery, a brief signal tone sounds.
All available symbols are briefly shown and the display lighting changes from red to green.
2. Then the device is ready for operation and the white display lighting is activated.
3. The two LEDs next to the test tip are continuously lit.
3. Sounding device
1. The device is equipped with a sounding device which can be shut off and which provides
additional acoustic support during the functional test.
2. Depending on whether a (+) current or earth is measured or output, it provides different signals
for distinction (only with the sounding device activated).
3. After connection, the sounding device is activated (see fig. left). It can be deactivated by briefly
pressing the button (see fig. right), reactivated by pressing the button, etc.
4. Fuse
1. If the fuse is activated due to a short circuit or current which is too great, (0-0) appears on the
display and an interval-type warning horn sounds.
2. If the fuse is activated, it can be reset after a short wait time by pressing the reset switch (7).

iMportANt:
For some consumers, e.g. the light bulb for remote light, the activation voltage can be very
high and possible trigger the device fuse. in this case, reset the fuse and repeat the process.
