Persons under 18 years of age may not use
the chainsaw.
The user must have read the instructions
prior to use, be thoroughly instructed in the
use of the chainsaw and be knowledgeable
about the risks that may occur through use
of the chainsaw.
For the sake of the user's safety, the chainsaw
may only be used with the combination of
blade and chain indicated under Technical
data, and may only be used with original
spare parts for repairs and maintenance of
the chainsaw.
Do not modify the chainsaw in any way!
Never use the chainsaw if the throttle, safety
switch and protective shield with trigger for
the chain brake do not function correctly.
Do not obstruct or in any way prevent the
function of the protective shield. Switch
the chainsaw off before releasing the chain
brake.
Always follow the engine maintenance
instructions for the chainsaw under
"Maintenance".
Always ensure there is suffi cient chain oil
in the tank and that the chain is led and
lubricated.
Never start the engine without the air lter in
place or if the silencer is defective.
Stop the engine immediately if engine
problems occur.
Stop the engine and remove the cable from
the spark plug before removing any trapped
items from the blade and before cleaning or
maintenance.
Always use protective gloves when handling
the chain. Keep the chain well away from
your body, hands and ngers whilst it is
running.
Ensure the chain is not in contact with
anything before starting the engine.
Never hold the chainsaw in your hand when
starting it. If the chain hits you, you may be
seriously injured.
Never walk around with the chainsaw while
the chain is running.
Never put the chainsaw down before it has
completely stopped running. The chain will
continue to run a short time after you release
the throttle.
Always hold the chainsaw with both hands,
one on each handle, when in use.
Do not allow other people or animals to
come within a radius of 3 metres when in
use.
Always saw with the underside of the blade
where possible and avoid sawing with the tip
of the blade.
Caution: the chainsaw may vibrate very
heavily or kick back when you are cutting
with the end of the blade.
Do not use the chainsaw for sawing any
material other than wood.
Ensure that you do not accidentally cut
power or telephone cables, etc. and always
make sure there are no other people or
animals near the chainsaw when starting or
using the chainsaw.
Lift the blade from the item being cut while
the chain is still running. If the chain stops
while it is in the workpiece, it can pull the
operator forward and cause injury.
