A

Place the chain (10) around the chain wheel
and into the groove in the blade (A).
Check that the chain will run in the right
direction (A).
Fit the side plate (B) and blade by screwing
the lock nuts tight by hand while lifting the
end of the blade upwards (C).
C
Turn the chain tensioner screw until the
chain's drive link touches the underside of
the blade.
Tighten the nuts securely and tension the
chain fully while holding the end of the blade
upwards (C).
Fitting the bark support
D
Place the bark support on the body of the
saw when tting the blade. Use the Allen key
provided to securely tighten the two Allen
screws (D).
Tensioning the chain
Adjust the chain tension by turning the chain
tensioner screw. Turn the screw clockwise
to tighten the chain and anticlockwise to
slacken it. There should be a few millimetres
of play in the chain when lifted from the
centre of the blade. The chain must not hang
below the blade (E).
E
NB! A new chain expands initially. It is
therefore important that the chain tension
is checked often during the saw's rst few
hours of use. Manually lubricate the chain
regularly using chain oil.
NB! Loosen the lock nuts before adjusting the
chain tensioner, otherwise the parts may be
damaged.
