Troubleshooting

If the chainsaw is not functioning correctly, troubleshoot the fault in the table below before
contacting our service centre (during the warranty period) or a quali� ed repairman (once
the warranty has expired).
Problem
The engine won't start
The engine is losing
power
The chain is not

Possible cause
Water in fuel system
The engine is � ooded
There is no spark
Air � lter is dirty
Thefuel � lter is blocked
Improper adjustment of
carburettor
The chain oil tank is
empty
The oil feed is blocked
The oil screw is
incorrectly adjusted
Solution
Empty fuel tank and � ll with new,
fresh fuel
Unscrew the spark plug and wipe it
Check and adjust the electrode
distance of the spark plug, or replace
the spark plug and spark plug cap
Clean the air � lter
Clean fuel � lter
Adjust the carburettor
Re� ll the chain oil
Clean the oil feed
Adjust the oil screw
