This must be directly connected to the workpiece or the
work bench. WARNING!: make sure contact to
workpiece is adequate by avoiding varnished surfaces
and/or non-metallic materials.
N.B.: For welders with clamp this cable must be connected
to the clamp with this symbol:
- COLLET CABLE
This has a special clamp on the terminal to attach to the
exposed part of the electrode.
N.B.: For welders with clamp this cable must be connected
to the clamp with this symbol:
PROTECTIVE MASK
This must ALWA YS be used during welding equipped with
proper filtering glasses to protect the eyes from the light
radiation produced by the arc. The mask allows observation
of the welding being carried out.
WELDING
- Use electrodes suitable for working in alternating current.
- The welding current must be regulated according to the
diameter of the electrode in use and the type of the joint to
be carried out: see below the currents corresponding to
various electrode diameters:

- The user must consider that, according to the electrode
diameter, higher current values must be used for flat
welding, whereas for vertical or overhead welds lower
current values are necessary.
- The mechanical character of the weld will be determined
not only by the current intensity used, but also by other
parameters such as the diameter and quality of the
electrode, the arc length , the speed and position of the
user. It will also depend on the state of the electrodes in
use, which should be protected from damp by their
packaging.
Welding procedure
- Holding the mask IN FRONT OF THE FACE, strike the
electrode tip on the workpiece as if you were striking a
match. This is the correct strike-up method.
WARNING: do not hit the electrode on the workpiece, this
could damage the electrode and make strike-up difficult.
- As soon as arc is ignited, try to maintain a distance from
the workpiece equal to the diameter of the electrode in
use. Keep this distance as much constant as possible for
the duration of the weld. Remember that the angle of the
electrode as it advances should be of 20-30
grades.(Fig.G)
- At the end of the weld bead, bring the end of the electrode
backward, in order to fill the weld crater, quickly lift the
electrode from the weld pool to extinguish the arc.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
NEVER REMOVE PANELS OR OPERATE WITHIN THE
UNIT WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE MAINS POWER
SUPPLY . CHECKING OPERATIONS WHEN THE UNIT IS
UNDER VOL TAGE MAY CAUSE SERIOUS ELECTRIC
SHOCK BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE DIRECT CONTACT
WITH LIVE PARTS.
- Regularly inspect machine according to frequency of use
and dustiness of work area. Remove dust inside the
machine with a low pressure air flow.
- If necessary, using a very thin layer of high temperature
grease, lubricate the moving parts of the adjustment
mechanisms (threaded shaft, sliding planes,
- When check operaton is over reassemble panels
tightening all fixing screws well.
- Under no circumstances carry out welding operations
while the machine is still open.

MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES
ATENCIóN! ANTES DE UTILIZAR LA MáQUINA LEER
ATENTAMENTE EL MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES
NORMAS DE SEGURIDAD
-
inflamables (p.ej. leño, papel, trapos, etc.).
-
Asegurarse un aireación adecuada o de medios aptos
para aspirar los humos de la soldadura o en las
cercanías del arco.
