LISTENING TO THE RADIO

Selecting a wavelength
By pressing repeatedly on 7 or 12, the
wavelength can be chosen: LW (long
wave), MW (medium wave) or FM (fre-
quency modulation).
Choosing a station
There are different modes for choosing
a radio station.
After having selected the wavelength,
select a mode by pressing 9 or 16.
LIST mode
This operating mode allows you to
search for a radio station in a list or-
dered alphabetically (for FM radio sta-
tions only).
Update the list of stations received by
pressing and holding 9 or 16.

The audio system beeps and then
switches to mute mode while it up-
dates.
Select a station displayed using the
control knob 13 or by pressing 2
(<< />>).
If the radio station does not use the
RDS system, its frequency is shown
and it is placed at the end of the list.
PRESET mode
This operating mode allows you to
recall on demand those stations which
you have already stored (refer to infor-
mation on "Storing a station" in this sec-
tion).
To access the stations, press on one of
keypad buttons 4 or on 2 (<< / >>), or
use the control knob 13.

MANu/AuTO modes
These modes allow you to search for
stations manually or automatically by
scanning the selected bandwidth.
Example 1: (depending on equipment)
– MANU: Run a step-by-step search
by pressing 2 or 13.
– AUTO: run an automatic search by
using 2 or 13.
Example 2: (depending on equipment)
– Run a step-by-step search by briefly
pressing 2.
– Run an automatic search by press-
ing and holding 2. Release after the
beep sounds are after two seconds.
– Run an automatic search using 13.
– Run a manual search with rapid
scrolling by pressing and holding 2.
