OPERATING FAuLTS
DESCRIPTION
The sound level for traffic news bulletins
or news items is too low;
Poor radio reception or no reception.
The display shows "HI TEMP" or "TOO
HOT" or the volume lowers by itself or the
source changes by itself.
The display reads "LINK ERR"
There is no sound from the cassette
player or there is no treble.
No sound comes out of the left- or right-
hand speaker during cassette playback
only.

The volume for news bulletins was modi-
fied when a previous bulletin was broad-
cast.
The vehicle is too far from the transmitter
to which the radio is tuned (background
noise and interference).
The reception is disrupted by interfer-
ence from the engine.

The audio system has switched to heat
protection mode.
The connection between the CD changer

SOLuTION
Modify the sound volume when the next
traffic news bulletin or news item is broad-
cast.
Find another transmitter with better re-
ception in your area or deactivate the AF-
RDS function.
